3 a day! Web 2.0/online opportunities for you

1. Internship with TIG: The first one for those of you passionate about changing the world, working with young people and technology is an internship with TakingITGlobal – a leading international NGO I am involved with. The job title is “community connector”, it’s a part-time unpaid internship, but working with TIG is just great and it gives you access to a huge bunch of resources. Find out more about the internship here! Deadline for applications: July 15.

2. New blog on psychology: The second one is a very interesting new blog, whose author is Romanian, but the blog is in English. Dragos is a friend of mine who’s doing a research master in psychological health at Utrecht. He will be blogging about emotions, the fear of death, person perception, stereotypes, attraction & courtship behavior, and much more.

3. Bloggers and Tea: Triangle D’Or is a new tea-house in Bucharest. I was invited there by Cristian Manafu and Filip Lepus to meet other bloggers and to attend an official tea-tasting ceremony. I will be also going there with a Deloitte mission about making a short overview on business opportunities in web 2.0 in Romania. See you there!

Facebook goes open source!

facebookNow that’s this week’s news! Facebook (you all know I’m a Facebook sucker, which I find brilliant – for a huge number of reasons) goes OPENSOURCE! Third parties will be free to change the Facebook Platform components for their own use and deploy them on their own sites. I’ve always admired Sun Microsystems for their open source philosophy, and I’m glad others back it up, too.

Techcrunch (where I got the news from) says “this is a nearly inevitable response to Open Social, which is backed by Google, MySpace and Yahoo.” Read all about it here!
