Yet another innovative concept started off in the US, which I’d like to see replicated after the coming elections this weekend in Romania. And another proof that democracy is a two-way street, though we Romanians seldom believe this. Change.org teamed up with MySpace and are running a competition on best ideas for America that can turn into real policies. Anybody can propose an idea and people vote for it online (please notice the collaborative intelligence model). The reason: President-Elect Obama says he wants to hear ideas from all Americans, so we’re taking him up on his offer.
Here’s how it works: The competition allows anyone to post an idea of 250 words or less, discuss with others, and vote on the top ideas from around the country. The top 10 rated ideas will be presented to a representative of the Obama Administration around Inauguration Day at an event in Washington, DC. We’ll then also announce a formal nonprofit sponsor for each idea and play a supporting role as each organization launches a national campaign to mobilize the millions of people on Change.org, MySpace, and partner organizations to turn each idea into real policy.
Cel mai tare site dedicat schimbarii sociale s-a relansat. E uimitor cat de bine poate sa arate, cat de trendy, cat de plin de informatie, cat de interesant, cat de cool. Pe Change.org sunt promovate mai multe cauze – stop global warming, stop genocide, animal rights, humanitarian relief, women’s rights, social entrepreneurship, end homelessness, gay rights, fair trade, criminal justice, peace in the Middle East. Fiecare cauza atrage membrii, creand astfel o retea sociala imensa dedicate schimbarii sociale. Mai mult decat atat, fiecare cauza are un blogger-ghid, insarcinat cu postarea de articole documentate despre respectiva cauza, cu anuntarea ultimelor stiri si, in general, cu dinamizarea comunitatii.
O reteta noua si indrazneata, care sper sa functioneze. Mi-am aruncat un ochi pe animal rights, gay rights si stop global warming si arata excelent, iar continutul e extraordinar. Nici nu ma mira, avand in vedere ca au existat sute de aplicatii pentru pozitia de blogger-ghid…
Criticam eu consilierii de imagine ai domnului premier pentru orchestrarea plimbarii cu bicicleta de saptamana trecuta, insa astazi, de Ziua Mediului (trebuia sa ma duc de dimineata la reuniune prieteneasca in domeniu, insa cel mai tare mi-ar fi placut sa il insotesc pe Dragos Bucurenci in caravana Verde 003), domnul Tariceanu a reluat gestul. De data aceasta intr-o tinuta mai adecvata mijloacelor deplasarii
