Just to tell you officially, I will be living a small nightmare till Thursday, so no blogging for me till then. Today I have to send in a paper by noon, and I have another exam scheduled in about 4 hours. Tomorrow’s the deadline for handing in my licence thesis to my coordinator and on Wednesday I have to hand it in to my faculty’s secretariat, alongside dozens of other papers. In the meantime, job goes on as usually, going to the Idea Forum on Tuesday, and preparing a project for the end of July. Talk to you again on Thursday most probably, when I’ll also catch up with everything’s that’s appeared in my googlereader. Wish me good luck and good coffee!

Insemnare de tip Sarah Jessica Parker. Vorbeam ieri la telefon cu un prieten. Un fost iubit. Locuieste acum pe alt continent si intreaga noastra iubire a esuat, printre altele, si pentru ca el nu a reusit sa se mute in Romania. Contextul: imprejurari nu tocmai norocoase, dar si frica de a ne lua angajamente. Imi spunea ca are o noua prietena si ca e fericit. M-am bucurat mult pentru el. A adaugat imediat ca fericirea lor e cu termen fix de valabilitate, caci el se va muta la toamna in Franta pentru un master, iar ea va ramane la cateva oceane distanta. Mi-am dat seama atunci ca tot mai mult povesti de iubire contemporane – inclusiv cea dintre mine si cel despre care va vorbesc – se sfarsesc in aeroporturi, gari si statii de autobuz. Criticam eu consilierii de imagine ai domnului premier pentru orchestrarea plimbarii cu bicicleta de saptamana trecuta, insa astazi, de Ziua Mediului (trebuia sa ma duc de dimineata la reuniune prieteneasca in domeniu, insa cel mai tare mi-ar fi placut sa il insotesc pe Dragos Bucurenci in caravana Verde 003), domnul Tariceanu a reluat gestul. It seems Blackberries all over the US are buzzing with the rumour. I was anxious this morning, but now it’s sure. NYTimes says superdelegates from South Dakota and Montana endorsed Obama, while ordinary delegates were still casting ballots. CNN – who was saying just a couple of hours ago that Hillary’s not giving up – is now saying the Hillary accepted to be Obama’s vicepresident In the meantime, MyDD claims it’s still not official…
Come on Hotnews… don’t disappoint me. You’re supposedly at the forefront of Romanian media… and nothing yet about Obama’s nomination…
I came across a crisp and critical blog portal for romantic geeks and EU idealists. Just like me! And the blogs are simply adorable.
Check out the ridiculously-looking logo the French just proposed as the image of the European Commission during their presidency. Or read all about the ten profiles of Europeans. Romanians seem to be exhibitionists who tend to have themselves as best friends and want to tell and show whatever they are proud of or have an opinion about. 
Others are grasshoppers, philosophers, adventurers, imposers or networkers. Stereotypes are adorable!

Two weeks ago I met a friend who asked me “So, who are you voting for?” “Obama, of course!” “Me too!” It didn’t really matter we are not Americans, thus unable to vote in any way. But still, we rallied behind this guy’s plans And it seems it’s a matter of 20 hours or so till Obama will become the Democrats’ official proposal for the White House. Mrs. Clinton’s aides say she’s preparing her farewell speech. Uuuu… the excitement! I wonder how Romanian politicians feel about US elections…

Later edit: Hotnews tocmai au dat si ei vestea in romana. Se pare ca in seara asta Mrs. Clinton ne spune “bye-bye” si accepta – poate – propunerea de a deveni principalul artizan al reformelor Obama in sanatate.

Online-ul romanesc e subutilizat in politica si administratie. Exista eforturi in acest sens, cum e conferinta de e-government de miercuri, “Cele 4 fatete ale e-government”, organizata de IDG Romania, la care planuiesc sa ajung in detasare de serviciu . Pe langa infima componenta de e-government a administratiei romanesti, totusi nu ma pot abtine sa remarc slaba exploatare a online-ului in campania locala de anul acesta.
